FAQs

What kinds of lasers do you have?

We’ve got them all!

At Bluebird, we have the newest diode, alexandrite and Nd:Yag lasers. Which laser we use on a client depends on the colour of the hair in the area, the density of hair in the area, the depth it is rooted at and the colour of your skin. All these factors are important!

When we see you for an Initial Consultation, we will determine which laser will be the most effective. However, often, over the course of a client’s sessions, we may use multiple lasers!

When treating body areas of clients with skin types 1-3, we typically use an alexandrite laser for the full course of their sessions. For skin type 4 clients, we often begin with an Nd:Yag, but then switch to the alexandrite once the remaining hair is fine and sparse. When treating skin type 5-6 clients, we’ll use an Nd:Yag from beginning to end.

When treating our client’s faces, because hair in this area is much more deeply rooted, the diode laser is often most effective.

By having all the options at Bluebird, we are able to maximize the value of each session and get your hair removal done in fewer sessions, and more thoroughly.
