FAQs
Some clinics have doctors or nurses, but Bluebird doesn’t. Why not?
In Canada, body care clinics that perform procedures that work below the dermis, or ‘break the skin’ are required to do their work under the care of a licensed doctor or nurse. This includes procedures like botox injections, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, vampire facials, and various kinds of blood plasma work. All these procedures require the presence of a doctor or nurse.
At Bluebird, we’re focused on doing one procedure very well: laser hair removal. And while sessions can be intense, especially where hair is dense, at no time is the skin broken, or is blood ever present.
That said, we operate as if it is! Between clients our treatment rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Sheets and towels are always fresh and all hard surfaces are wiped with 70% alcohol or CaviWipes. Clean means safe, and safe is good for all of us!
While we aren't required by Toronto Public Health to have a doctor or nurse on staff, we utilize the same methods they would to ensure our rooms and equipment are clean, safe and ready for each new client.
