FAQs

How should I care for my skin after a session?

On most body areas, no topical aftercare is necessary after a session. But keeping your skin cool during the few hours following a session will help your skin come back to normal quickly. Once your skin looks and feels back to normal, feel free to resume your regular routine!

During, and just after a session some minor amount of redness and follicular swelling is typical. This skin reaction is a sign that the session was effective. We may apply pure aloe to these areas as we treat them. Ninety percent of redness should be gone within a few hours, and your skin should be mostly back to normal by the following day.

When treating our clients’ faces, more intense redness can be expected. This is related to the increased density of hair in the area. We will be applying aloe, or a polysporin cream, to these areas just after treatment. Your technician may also give you further after care instructions if necessary.

Again, keeping your body cool until the redness has subsided will help your skin come back to normal quickly. But this is just about care for your skin, not about the effectiveness of the laser session. The laser will do its work no matter what!
